When designing an information architecture, you’ll sometimes have to deal with two or three terms that are vague or confusing. To make them clearer, you must amplify the distinctions between them. I think of this as “increasing the contrast” between terms.
I left Pittsburgh in 2017 even though housing was affordable and I liked my work. I left because I realized I had worked 4 jobs and each time had colleagues who used racist and sexist language. 2 of the jobs I was one of only 3 women in the entire company.

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Title IX, a law passed by the folks who are elected to pass laws. Title IX came into existence because Title VII did not mention gender.
But we never even got Roe as law. We fundamentally failed to protect our basic rights.
I don't take comfort in living in California right now. And it doesn't make me care more because I grew up in Pennsylvania. I am devastated not because I am a woman. I am feeling the way I am because I am a human being.
