Flooding is becoming increasingly possible, especially Saturday into early next week. If you live in an area that routinely experiences flooding, continue to monitor the forecast for updates.
Starting Friday, numerous waves of rain (heavy at times) will move across the Mid State. A few rumbles of thunder are possible Saturday and Sunday, too. While there will be some dry time in the mix, plan on a very soggy end to the week.
National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for our area until 12 midnight. Charge your cell phones, locate your flashlights and keep informed on the approaching weather system.
As of 6:35 p.m., crews are actively working to assess and restore outages to 40,000+ members. Members need to be careful because trees are causing downed power lines which are hard to see in the dark.
Outage reporting is still down, but our IT team is working to restore it soon.
