Migration is not the crisis.
The crisis is the world’s collective failure to manage migration together.
We need cooperation across borders, governments & societies to show how multilateral cooperation delivers in the lives of migrants & the societies they strengthen.

Meet Little Serenget – and her singular drinking style.
Seven months ago, she arrived in our care with a bullet wound. Today, she has her Keepers mastering an entirely new milk-feeding technique on her behalf – far more time-consuming and labour-intensive than the regular method, but ending with the same result: two nutritious bottles of milk inside her belly. If she's happy, we're happy.
We have raised over 300 orphaned elephants, but this technique is new to us. Still, every orphan who comes into our care is unique, and it's our job to meet them where they are.

Marilyn Monroe realized the power her physical attributes held long before anyone else did. By the time she was a young actress in Hollywood, amassing so much fan mail it startled executives, she had perfected her gaze. Her beauty, which seemed effortless and natural in photographs, was just another area of Monroe’s life that she sought to optimize.
“As her celebrity grew, Monroe negotiated a unique level of command over how images of herself were created; for the most part, she had veto power over who shot her and when, and she fought hard to retain approval over which shots could appear and which negatives must be destroyed. She viewed her work with photographers as an active collaboration. She needed the camera and the camera needed her; it was a fair transaction,” Rachel Syme writes. The best part about being an elephant Keeper? The elephant snuggles are up there, sure. But watching an orphan that you have raised rejoin the wild, and then go on to start a family, is priceless.
For our adopters, we hope the sentiment is just the same. Our foster family help fund the milk and specialist care the orphans need to survive and grow, and later help keep them safe in the wild too.
