To highlight just one favorite performance of hers, Tress' Wilma Flintstone voice, heard here in "The Flintstones: On the Rocks", deserves more love when talking about current voice actors playing legacy characters. She nailed Jean Vander Pyl's tones perfectly!
[This doesnt mean Tsupro/Ultraman should be exempt from criticism]
Sometimes I think how much we took it for granted, especially the fact it airs yearly & how small Tsupro's production team is-
Like look at how much effort needed just to make a scene that only last seconds
Prince was such a massive fan of THE MUPPETS, he asked if he could host the Muppets Tonight show in 1997, leading to one of the rare instances we saw a more comedic version of himself instead of the quiet and reserved persona fans were used to 😂👏
SCOOBY-DOO (2002) originally opened with an incredible animated sequence that was ultimately cut for length.
It’s still one of the strangest deleted scenes in a blockbuster.
Fight Against Evil 3 东北警察故事3 [2026]
Directed By: Yang Bingjia
Very different from the previous two (Comedy) but this one is totally fun with the current trend in Chinese action films of adding a music montage during a fight scene, but Du Xiaohui who works with Qin Pengfei has been doing his thing as an action director pairing up with Li Xiangyang as choreographer.
The Japanese influence in choreography has been amazing to see in Chinese action cinema adding their own flare, you even see a shoutout to Hydra towards the end of this scene.
Genndy Tartakovsky was 26 years old when Cartoon Network gave him his own show.
that show launched a career that would help generate more than $1.3 billion at the box office.
before that, he was a kid from Moscow who barely spoke English.
his family moved to Chicago when he was 7. he learned English by watching cartoons.
after art school, he got a job at Hanna-Barbera drawing characters created by other people.
then Cartoon Network gave him a chance.
he created Dexter's Laboratory. one of the network's biggest hits.
he followed it with Samurai Jack. 4 Emmy Awards. 13 years of fans demanding a proper ending.
George Lucas was one of them.
he hired Tartakovsky to create Star Wars: Clone Wars. it won 3 more Emmys.
then Hollywood called.
Hotel Transylvania. three films. $1.3 billion worldwide.
then he walked away from franchises and made Primal.
almost no dialogue. a caveman, a dinosaur, survival.
5 Emmy Awards.
not a bad outcome for a kid who learned English from cartoons.
save it and watch the interview tonight
Rest in peace to Gene Shalit, a man whose Kermit the Frog interview went absolutely off the rails in 1984.
Nobody has interviewed a Muppet like this since.
Celia Cruz performing "Guantanamera" at a sound check in Kinshasa. Featuring Johnny Pacheco on flute.
Live at Zaire '74, the festival staged alongside the Rumble in the Jungle.
This reminds me of how the opening of the cartoon special "Donald Duck's 50 Crazy Years" features an uncannily smooth animation of Donald transitioning from his early design (based on "The Wise Little Hen") to his modern one.
Easy to overlook The Sylvers. Hell, it took the late, great J Dilla to not only bring back attention to the group, but their earlier work, as well. Their first three albums on Pride are absolute gems from production to arrangement to vocals.
Just listen.

Yasiin Bey (AKA Mos Def) and Ye pulled up to PlaqueBoyMax stream and he got some some advice from Yasiin Bey as well 🔥🔥🔥
“Black artists need to study black art, study the history and don’t just study the stuff you’re into study the history of great black art the whole median.. the painters, the writers and the architects”
