@IRSnews What about the people who filed right before or after the bill and before turbotax software was updated? These people never received their original refund without the unemployment portion. And they are in the limbo.IRS only talks about people filed earlier&refunded 1st part .

@Saunderswsj So if someone filed right after the bill was passed and has a refund. If unemployment is excluded the refund will be higher. What will happen to that person? Will he get the initial refund first and then the extra in May or the whole refund in may?

@Saunderswsj What about if someone filed after the bill passed so the refund wasn't issued at the time, and the software was not updated yet. He has a refund before the tax break. Will that person get the initial refund soon and then the extra later? Or he won't get anything till May?
