संविधान कोई अक���ट्य आसमानी किताब नहीं है @iChiragPaswan जी। विगत 76 वर्षों में भारत के संविधान में 106 बार संशोधन किया जा चुका है। इसका अर्थ यह है कि औसतन प्रत्येक 9 माह में संविधान में एक बार बदलाव किया गया है। कुछ प्रबुद्ध जन इस अनैतिक प्रक्रिया को 'संविधान का अवमूल्यन' भी कहते हैं। इसी संशोधन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से ही आरक्षण की व्यवस्था को लागू किया गया है।

वर्तमान में समाज के कुछ गिने-चुने लोगों (क्रीमी लेयर) ने ही पारंपरिक रूप से आरक्षण के लाभ पर एकाधिकार कर रखा है, जिससे वंचित समाज के वास्तविक योग्य लोगों को इसका लाभ नहीं मिल पा रहा है। अतः यदि देश की प्रगति को अक्षुण्ण रखना है और समाज में समरसता का वातावरण स्थापित करना है, तो आरक्षण ��्यवस्था की निष्पक्ष समीक्षा करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
