Some thoughts on the state of MIAA girls' lacrosse:
- All four championship games were outstanding. Kudos to Concord-Carlisle, Walpole, Sandwich and Cohasset for finding a way, and shout-out to NDA, Reading, Ipswich and Norwell for truly valiant efforts.
- The amount of talent is pretty remarkable. You have players going to schools like Northwestern, Denver, UMass and more, and the depth is just as impressive.
- I'm always amazed when eighth-graders contribute in title games. Excelling against people five years older isn't easy and shouldn't be taken for granted.
- Shout-out to Babson and the MIAA for putting on a great event. It's a perfect location and always has a special feel.
- Terrific support from all eight fan bases. With that said, I encourage you to focus on cheering for your team, rather than bashing the referees. They're doing their best.
- I believe MIAA girls' lacrosse needs a shot clock. My vote is two minutes, but you could argue more or less. I think it will help with pace of play, lead to even more excitement and improve the end of games. With that said, each finish was still captivating.
- I also think the shooting-space rule needs a slight tweak. Player safety is most important, but I believe there's a way to adjust it so the defender has a chance.
- A quick shout-out to all the goalies. That's one of the toughest positions in sports, and putting your body on the line for your team is admirable.
- It's always cool watching young fans go crazy and dream of one day being on that field themselves. That's what it's all about @GlobeSchools

NEW: High Point's Chase Johnston gives glory to Jesus Christ, mentions John 15:13 after upsetting Wisconsin in March Madness.
"I just want to give all glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It's been an unbelievable season."
"Just a group of guys that's built off, John 15:13. We serve each other, we love each other, and we'd die for each other."
John 15:13: There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
