We are pleased to report the release by @nanotwig and @John_de_Mello of Version 1 of OLIA, the Open Lock-In Amplifier. A sensitive instrument for measuring small signals in the presence of noise: https://t.co/tAtbxOLVGg
Our new paper describes OLIA: an open, feature-rich, card-sized digital lock-in amplifier. Featuring internal & external referencing up to 50 kHz, adjustable preamp, exponential & synchronous filtering, analogue & digital outputs and more! #openhardware https://t.co/oDE4IhXA65
OLIA can be assembled from off-the-shelf parts without needing specialist tools. The "brain" is the fantastic Teensy 4.0, which IMO is the most useful board of its kind
I fully support the junior doctors' strikes for fair pay and conditions. However I'm very uneasy about the messaging here - it implies those in service jobs with weaker career prospects are less deserving of proper pay and quality of life. Not how to cultivate solidarity.
I have a PhD on offer on the uptake of quantum dots into cells using mechanical deformation- apply ASAP!
If you are accepted it will be fully funded.
