Today is my 15th wedding anniversary with my wife, Junghwa.

I love this girl so much. I love the life we have created. I love the children we have together. Our love has turned into a lineage that will last as long as humanity.

Her and I are complete opposites. She is a Taurus, I am a Scorpio - two strong willed people. She was raised with Korean parents and Eastern ways. I was raised with American/European parents and Western ways. And with that our love languages are very different.

When I think our relationship, I always come back to the fact that through each other, we both get to explore a whole different world than if we married someone just like ourself. It's like we've each given each other a door into a whole new life.

I share this 15th wedding anniversary (10/10/10) with thousands of individuals around the world. All of us are Unificationists who we're blessed in marriage on this day. Some of us grew up as such, and some of us chose to become such. But we all chose to get blessed on this day not just for ourselves but for a greater cause. We wanted to dedicate our marriage to creating God centered families on earth. To fulfill what Adam and Eve, God's original children, could not - Be Fruitful, Multiply, and Have Dominion.

I am on that path today - and I can tell you it is a joyous path.

But it is not an easy path - as all good things, and true freedom, it takes responsibility.

As a 2nd generation Unificationist, we are pioneering our faith in this world. I always like to compare it to an A/B test and we are not in the control group. If our faith bears fruit, amazing fruit, then our faith will continue for generations to come. I like to think that we have some pretty incredible fruit already as I have enjoyed plenty of it. But I will die as a Unificationist and I will let you know the ultimate result on the other side ;)

The origin story of my faith all comes back to Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Mrs. Hak Ja Han who were called by God to found it. Like every providential religious figure in history, they have been ridiculed and persecuted. This seems to be the consistent path of a changemaker. Even Jesus said "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

And even at 82, almost blind and in poor health, Mrs. Han is now sitting in a cell in S. Korea, persecuted by the S. Korean government who seems sadly intent to destroy freedom of religion and conservative values in their country.

And on her way to that cell, she did not ask for prayers for her self, she did not change who she was, she instead said "Do not worry about me. Do not pray for me. Please pray and offer devotion so that you, your families, our Unification family, and the Will of our Heavenly Parent may be fulfilled. I love you, Blessed Families"

So even with the somberness of the founder of my faith in a windowless cell, I will proudly follow her words and continue on my grand experiment of life and of faith. As did the first disciples in the bible. As did billions of Christians and as does billions of members of all faiths in the world. And as do you.

And I will proudly seek to fulfill God's original advice for living a great life - Be Fruitful, Multiply, and Have Dominion. And my life will be the legacy and the blessing that I make it.

15 years and on to eternity. I love you Junghwa.
