Tomorrow is a BIG day for BC14! It's graduation day!🎉 But, that's not all...
We're thrilled to announce that Microsoft has invited our grads to celebrate their graduation in style at their Reading Campus!🙌
It's safe to say it's going to be an unforgettable experience for all!🤩
They did it! 🎉 Our bootcampers blew everyone's minds with their final web app projects. Can you believe that they only had 4-5 weeks to build full-stack web applications from scratch?!
Demo Day 14.0 had a fantastic buzz! 🔥 Follow the thread for our favourite highlights:
16wks ago, a brave group of individuals, who were once strangers, embarked on a life-changing adventure together - the SoC Bootcamp
Their goal? To transform from coding beginners to professional developers!
& the day they've been preparing for has finally come - It's Demo Day!🎉
I had so much fun putting together the video demo for our final team project. This week was so stressful trying to debug & finalise everything before demo day!
@theSchoolOfCode has been such a great ride. I can’t believe it’s coming to an end 🥹
Just 4 months ago, we brought together this amazing group of individuals from all kinds of backgrounds to embark on an out-of-this-world journey.🚀
16 weeks later, we're excited to introduce them to the tech scene as fully-fledged software developers!🎉
We're incredibly proud!🙌
Week 15 of learning to code and I’m finally loving Codewars 😁 A few weeks ago it was the bane of my life but I refused to give up.
I’ve learned so much about JavaScript now; like today I learned how to use the parseInt() & Number() methods 💪🏾
After a little hiatus from Twitter, I’m back! 😋 And I’ve just realised I finish the @theSchoolOfCode Bootcamp next week 🤯😱
This maternity leave has been very different and difficult in comparison to my last one. But I’ve loved learning to code!
If you're new to coding and you're struggling to understand concepts, remember that your learning journey is a marathon not a race.
Be kind to yourself & enjoy the ride!
Happy new week 💪
Someone told me that the best way to learn to code was by building stuff.
I am super excited (but also very nervous 😬) to start working on my first independent project that’s in line with my recruitment background.
Wish me luck!
A few days ago I re-committed myself to the #100daysofcode challenge and this time round I made it passed day 5 😅 check out how I’ve been using @NotionHQ to log my learning each day. Like I said it’s NEVER too late to start again 😁
@AtulACleaver@NotionHQ Thank you @AtulACleaver! My biggest roadblock has been maintaining a positive attitude and mindset. I try not to put too much pressure on myself if I don't completely understand something. I've quickly realised that learning how to code is marathon not a race :)
