The 2nd CANCC Peer Learning Cohort on NAP Processes with @NAP_Network concluded today! The 3 day event brought together the 5 CANCC nations - Kiribati, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Tokelau & Tuvalu to share experiences & knowledge in adaptation planning for enhanced resilience.
From April 22-24, the Republic of Maldives, as Chair of the CANCC, will host its peer atoll nations in Bandos, Maldives, for a discussion focused on climate change, nature-based solutions, and food security.

Under the Maldives’ chairmanship of the Coalition of Atoll Nations on Climate Change (CANCC), a ‘Peer Learning Cohort on NAP Processes’ with a focus on nature-based solutions and food security for CANCC nations was opened today, with support from @NAP_Network

Promoting inclusive Climate Action – Why Must Africa and Azerbaijan Must root for Funding Mechanisms that Leap Frog Locally Led Climate Actions took place today at the Green Zone- Azerbaijan NGO Pavilion#CoP29_AZ.
At a #COP29 side event, governments, UN agencies, and technical assistance partners shared progress, lessons learned, + pathways to meet the Global Stocktake’s call for all Parties to put NAPs in place by 2025 + make progress in implementing them by 2030.

At #COP29 countries did not reach consensus on the NAP Assessment, and it will be picked up again at the June 2025 intersessional meetings in Bonn.
It is disappointing that after many days of constructive work, no decision will be taken in Baku.
