@wongmjane No journalist would consider the work you do anything less than "journalism." I also don't think citizen journalism is a concept journalists are against at all, it's just the term is often thrown around in opposition to "regular" journalism these days.
@beth_hampton@Zipcar I'm locked out of my account too. On the website it tells me to complete my application when I've been using Zipcars for years, so I'm guessing something's amiss
@Kevin_Raposo Thanks! I also considered
TikTok copycat copes with TikTok copies
and
Don't copy your Tiktoks to our TikTok copycat, copy that?
I always wonder about the headlines that didn't make it

S-tier: Oatly full fat, barista, and regular
A-tier: Califia barista, Chobani
B-tier: Califia regular
Disgusting: Planet oat, elmhurst
Still like soy milk too
@ValerieComplex Congrats on the new gig! It's validating to see I wasn't the only one who didn't get how a musical with such a problematic plot got so popular. GF watched it, was disturbed, and I was like "nope nope nope" throughout the summary. Seems the movie ain't much better.
@JoannaStern Same. Worse, even though I'm in a 5G area, I find that the various phones I've used often make things worse by doing the constant switcharoo dance between 4G and 5G.
@ValerieComplex ...which is that Dominican culture already tends to ignore its own blackness. Even though Dominicans have the most African ancestry of all Hispanic countries. That wasn't the filmmakers intention, but it plays into that existing erasure.
@ValerieComplex I'm Dominican, grown up in the DR and so much time/family in Washington Heights. It's where my parents met. This movie made me feel a connection I've never felt with any film before. Even though I loved the movie, this issue was glaring and there's another layer to it...
