leaving many Sarpanchs and PRI members unable to effectively use digital platforms for service delivery.

On this #InternationalDayOfGirlChild and National Association for Rural Advancement (NARA)’s 2nd Foundation Day, we reaffirm our commitment to breaking barriers and unlocking opportunities for every girl.
To bridge this gap, @NARA_Odisha launched NARA SAATHI DESK — a community-led platform that helps citizens understand, claim & monitor their rights. It provides info on social protection, health & livelihood schemes, supports documentation, and builds grievance redressal forums.
In remote villages of Nayagarh, Odisha, many families still struggle to access basic rights & govt entitlements due to low awareness & poor last-mile support.
Menstrual hygiene management in the tribal areas of Odisha, India faces significant challenges due to cultural taboos, lack of awareness, and inadequate access to sanitary products. Shockingly, only 39.5% of tribal girls in Odisha knew about menstruation before menarche.
through education sessions, awareness workshops, mass rallies, storytelling, social media campaigns, & art workshops across the state of Odisha by 2030.
In the initial phase, tribal teen-club members gathered, pledged to celebrate their period pride in Dalua village, Bhubaneswr.
In Odisha, particularly among marginalised dalit communities, period stigma remains a significant issue as menstruation is often seen as impure influenced by cultural beliefs, lack of education and awareness, and inadequate facilities.
On #MenstrualHygieneDay, @naraindia_ is going to initiate a Campaign 'Project MAHIKA' aims to dispel taboos & promote MH by improving MHM, awareness & education, access to products & cultural change among 50,000 underprivileged adolescent girls and women in rural & Tribal Odisha.
