Decided to walk a bit, post concert, as I hadn't yet seen this.
I generally hate this style of art as it doesn't really say anything. It's neither masterful, nor thought provoking, so what's the point...kind of just blends into nothingness.
Tuesday's performance of Handel's Alexander's Feast was a huge success! The choir was joined by soprano Nardus Williams and orchestra The English Concert. In the interval concertgoers toured the Abbey, pausing at Handel's memorial to enjoy the playing of harpist Oliver Wass.
#MatthewWild’s #LeNozzeDiFigaro@Operaen sharp direction brilliantly spotlights intense generational conflicts, matched by incredible energy from young ensemble, weaving #Mozart’s own real-life grief over losing a child into the Almavivas' story. @NardusWilliams🔝expressing grief
Why not calm the storm for a few minutes? This, from @NardusWilliams and Elizabeth Kenny, should do the trick. Thankyou @Leeds_Song 😍 👏👏👏
