wasted engineer with idle time and an energetic kid, read papers for keeping track of things once in a while (big trends don't change easily).Cynic at heart
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Some people are criticising PM Modi's message from yesterday.
Well, simple math will tell you that the country is dealing with a fuel-cost issue. The bills aren't favourable, for the country.
So what does the PM do - tell people to do things which can help reduce those bills - travel local, use public transport when and where feasible, buy local things, etc . What is wrong in that?
This is an appeal, not a gun to your head. Do it if you think you can, and if you can take some hit (to finances and to preferences) for a short while. It will help the country, and in turn help you.

Yes, mutual funds are undeniably long-term investments—no one disputes that. But in today’s volatile market, tracking which funds are moving and which are lagging is equally critical.
For anyone building long-term wealth from here, understanding short-term shifts is not about timing the market, but about staying informed and disciplined while navigating it.
Conducting thorough due diligence before making any investment decisions is essential to ensure well-informed choices. 🙏🙏🙏

@AgentSaffron I also believe that large part of this anti-Indian sentiment in west is due to blue
collar people from India’s neighbouring countries (who happened to have easier access to settle abroad due to alignment with NATO in 60s-80s and India was part of non-alignment movement)
@AgentSaffron Btw I do think people from Indian sub-continent (unfortunately ex of India, other countries are small, everyone is seen as Indian in west) sometimes (more often than not) spoil the image of Indians abroad. There are many examples of that. This I believe is not that example.

“What moral authority does the 🇺🇸United States, a country that is ruled by the Epsteins, have over my country, a country that has lifted 800 million people out of poverty?
What moral authority does 🇬🇧Britain, a country that arrested 12,000 of its own people for posting online, have to lecture us about civil liberty?
What moral authority do 🇪🇺NATO countries have to preach human rights while turning a blind eye to the genocide in 🇵🇸Gaza?"
@karuna_madan@hvgoenka This entire conversation in comments is hilarious…. Love it when I see one side doesn’t understand sarcasm & other continues to throw more at them ..
@hvgoenka It says a lot about safe environment that our govt had ensured over years that in India people feel safe while out on streets. We might lack in infrastructure (its WIP) but we as a country should feel proud on our govt giving confidence to people of his stature to roam freely.
@Salansar1 even minor nation states & their leaders can play significant role in changing narrative on each side & they are probably working from both sides at all times ..
@Salansar1 From an outsider’s perspective, UAE and KSA have strong enough cultural and political ties to be seen as rivals (not enemies at all, friends- yes, rivals on specific matters- probably yes but in a contained manner)… About proxy conflicts escalating…
@elonmusk@Tesla_AI@grok Can anyone see & know about patented technology to use for his individual purpose? Consent is one part but does filing patent makes the core information about tech public?

#WATCH | Chandigarh: AAP leader and former Delhi Minister Satyendra Jain says, "Today, the CBI court has closed a six-year-old case. In this very case, the CBI raided my house on May 30, 2019, and when they raided, they even searched the children's clothes. They didn't leave anything: my wife's bags, children's bags, their books, copies...They found no evidence of corruption and no criminal conspiracy. Nothing was found against me after 6.5 years... I want to say that it is not right to make such cases for political purposes..."
