The promoter of TD Power sold shares at a valuation of around INR 5,500 crore and is now buying back at a valuation of INR 25,000 crore.
“There was a lot of noise about why he was selling his stake. But at INR 25,000 crore, he has put even more money into the business.”
“Promoters are human too. They have personal financial needs — buying a house, funding their children’s weddings, or acquiring other hard assets. Not every stake sale signals a lack of confidence in the business.”

They are none other than Mr. Ishmohit Arora, Cofounder of SOIC, and Mr. Siddhant Bhandari, Cofounder of Persistence Capital respectively.
In my recent podcast, they revealed how to spot J-curve stocks early, find the catalyst and time the entry:
→ Why "NEW" is the most powerful word in investing. One new solar policy took a company's profit from Rs. 10 crore to Rs. 3,000 crore in four years.
→ Why 80% of a stock's move comes from its sector. Dixon was 3% of TCS's revenue, yet added half as much as TCS in five years.
→ How a new management transforms a stock. The Murugappas entered CG Power at Rs. 10. Six years later, it's above Rs. 900.
→ The Train A, B, C framework: Why a good stock with no catalyst is "hope investing".
→ How con calls, announcements and management interviews reveal catalysts early, including a "congrats index".

PNGS Reva: Natural diamond play | Lightweight jewellery.

You don’t need 15-20 stocks to generate meaningful returns. You need 4–6 right stocks across 2–3 powerful themes.
At any given time, only a handful of themes drive outsized returns. Identifying those themes and picking the right businesses within them is what truly matters.
The rest of your portfolio is primarily there to diversify and manage risk.
So, stop obsessing over building a 15-20 stock portfolio. Instead, focus on identifying those 2–3 themes and 4–6 stocks that can genuinely move the needle.
Understand them deeply. Track their progress closely. Build conviction and size your positions accordingly.
The goal is not to own more stocks. It is to own more of the right stocks, in the right size.

Looks like every couple of years, September–October starts brewing trouble for small caps!
At this rate, we might soon have a new market anthem:
Bye-bye in September, buy-buy in March!
