My visit to Iceland concluded with a talk delivered to students of the 2025–2026 cohort participating in the six-month training @gro_ftp. The two lectures focused on Africa’s aquaculture landscape and the role of NARO in catalysing transformative aquaculture research in Uganda.
It was a privilege to serve as a PhD opponent for Dr. Safina Musa during her doctoral defense at @uni_iceland. Congratulations to the candidate and her supervisory team for a dissertation that was exceptionally well structured and scientifically rigorous. @narouganda

Through Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project (UCSATP), 40 Master’s students are pursuing fully funded scholarships, implementing research in 69 local government districts (including refugee-hosting areas) to strengthen Uganda’s #ClimateSmartAgriculture agenda.
