Africa's bioeconomy grows when communities share in the value, not just supply the raw materials.
At the #AfricaBioeconomy2026 Workshop, @karirekinyana , Founder and Director of Karire Products Ltd, said buying raw materials is only the start: companies must also give back to the communities they source from, through products that meet their needs and shared knowledge.
Communities and scientists working together can add value before products reach the market.
