There will always be situations where a certain statistic doesn’t give full credit to a situation. Sure some saves are harder to come by than others but that can be said for almost any stat.

@RyanBaranowski @CoeSoxMetrics @cdcole55 I’m not arguing with hit probability statistics. I’m arguing that baseball is more complicated than statistics makes it. As economists we know that people don’t always behave rationally. As a baseball fan, I know that players aren’t always process driven.

Right or wrong, baseball players ARE results driven because at the end of the day it comes down to winning a game. 10 times out of 10 I’ll take a blooper RBI with 2 outs as opposed to a line out.
