The meme was meant to insult Rajinikanth by showing him as a bus conductor. Instead, it celebrates one of the greatest rags-to-riches stories in Indian cinema. A man from a humble background who left a secure job, chased his passion, learned a new language, built his own style, and through sheer hard work became a Superstar. Even at 75, he continues to command the box office.

There is nothing shameful about being a conductor. The way Rajinikanth has “conducted” his life with discipline, humility and relentless effort is exactly why millions admire him today.

Vijay’s journey was very different. He was introduced and repeatedly backed by his father despite early setbacks. Many of the opportunities that others spend years searching for were available to him from the beginning. That is a privilege, not the same journey.

So the meme completely backfires. It portrays Rajinikanth as the self-made man who earned every milestone, while Vijay comes across as the entitled beneficiary of a privileged launch. If the goal was to diminish Rajinikanth, it ended up elevating him instead.

Conductor Dharman didn’t inherit a route. He created one.
