@TeaToast9 @JoshuaShep2001 What you’re doing is trying to instil cause and effect reasoning with a child who’s brain hasn’t developed that understanding yet. What you CAN teach them is how to listen to you the first time you ask something, which I would argue is also love because you have their best 2/3

@TeaToast9 @JoshuaShep2001 I’m going to assume you don’t have kids lol. A 2 year old has zero impulse control and will do whatever they want in the moment. “Loving” them away from danger is not a realistic sentiment and expecting them to have common sense at that age is again unrealistic. 1/2

Obedience is giving healthy boundaries to your child and letting them be free within the parameters. Too many parents “love” their child into destruction.
