Delegates from Physio Karma, NSTA, and InMobi visits Child Guidance Centre, @jmiu_official
The Child Guidance Centre (CGC), under the aegis of Dr. Zakir Husain Memorial Welfare Society, had the honour of welcoming a delegation from Physio Karma, the National Students Talent Association (NSTA), and InMobi on 24th July 2025. The purpose of the visit was to witness the on-going work at the Centre, strengthen collaboration, and discuss future initiatives aimed at supporting children with special needs.
Earlier in the day, the visiting team held a productive meeting with the Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in his office. During this interaction, Ms. Shubhi Chaturvedi, Global Head of InMobi, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the development of a Smart Class and Smart Therapy Centre at CGC, which will further enhance the learning and therapeutic environment for neurodiverse children.
The delegation also visited all school premises, including the classrooms and the Therapy Centre, where they observed the facilities, interacted with staff, and appreciated the inclusive and supportive environment provided to the children.
A warm welcome was extended to the guests through the presentation of mementos and bouquets. Prof. Sara Begum, General Secretary of the Zakir Husain Memorial Welfare Society, delivered the welcome address, briefly introducing the mission and work of the Child Guidance Centre. This was followed by Ms. Akansha’s introduction of NSTA and InMobi, highlighting their vision and efforts in the field of inclusive development. Ms. Farheen elaborated on the purpose of the gathering, emphasizing the importance of collective support and collaboration in the success of the Centre’s initiatives.
The Physio Karma team presented an engaging overview of the brain training programme currently being implemented at CGC, including a detailed explanation of its structure, goals, and a short video demonstration. Mr. Naseem Ahmad, along with a special educator, shared the positive impact observed among children through this initiative. Feedback from students and parents was also a key part of the event, as selected children shared their experiences and learning, while parents expressed appreciation and offered thoughtful suggestions for further improvement.
A vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Naseem Ahmad, Project Director of the Centre, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries and collaborators.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Syed Abdul Rashid (Retired Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delhi Police and Security Advisor to Jamia Millia Islamia), Prof. Sara Begum, Dr. Zubair, Dr. Eram Nasir, and Mrs. Yasmeen, Director of Balak Mata Centre. The guest delegation from NSTA and InMobi comprised Ms. Shubhi Chaturvedi, Mr. Ravi Gosai (Actor and Founder, Former President of NSTA), Mr. Manmeet Singh (Current National President of NSTA), Ms. Rupinder Kaur (Advisor), Mr. Prakash Khetwani (Architect and General Secretary of NSTA), and Dr. Gaurav Sharma (Director of Physio Karma).
The delegation also interacted with parents and discussed the concept and benefits of the Diversity Lab, which is already operational at the Centre with the support of NSTA and Physio Karma. The lab is aimed at empowering neurodiverse children through specialized training, therapy, and inclusion-focused interventions. Teachers and parents contributed valuable insights and feedback to help improve the programme further.
Prof. Sara Begum concluded by expressing her heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Asif Mazhar and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi for their continued support and vision, which have been instrumental in establishing the Neurodiversity Lab at the Child Guidance Centre.
