These past weeks have been draining. I opened up to a friend, and instead of questioning me, he just said, ‘pagdasal na lang kita,’ which felt comforting :))
Workers once had to work from 7 AM to 9 PM, about 14 hours a day. Thanks to activists and unions, even if some call them communists, we now have an 8 hour workday
Happy Labor Day! ✊
Many people are mad about the 4Ps program, but they don’t realize it’s helping families get through daily struggles
It gives children a chance at education and a better future, slowly breaking the cycle of poverty 😄
The death toll from a train collision near the Indonesian capital Jakarta has risen to 15 with another 88 injured, a senior minister said, as emergency teams completed work to rescue passengers trapped in the wreckage https://t.co/pFAvLsN3m2
Sci-Hub is an evil website that pirated 85M+ research papers and made them freely available
And now they've added AI to their database to make Sci-Bot.
It answers your questions using latest, full-text articles.
But DO NOT use it. We should all try to make billion-dollar academic publishers richer.
I'm putting the link below so you know how to avoid it.
@pangetatdadisco It’s disappointing to see because the hate comes from wrong stereotypes, when many 4Ps beneficiaries actually work multiple jobs and are just trying to survive despite limited opportunities, yet they still get judged unfairly
Iain Grigor powered through the #LondonMarathon at full steam and completed the fastest marathon dressed as a train (male) in only 4:43:46 🚂 What a fantastic achievement 💨 @archwaycharity@LondonMarathon
IMO, UP and other SUCs could consider a clearer income-based prioritization or threshold to help ensure that limited slots and subsidies go first to students who need them most
I’m not saying higher-income students should be excluded, but given the limited capacity, there are also private universities like DLSU, UST, or AdMU that they can consider
A more balanced system could help expand access while still keeping admissions fair and merit-based :)
@envi6se That’s quite sad, but the UPCAT ‘26 actually had more passers from public schools than private ones. I really hope education continues to reach those who need it most
it’s honestly refreshing to see this shift in upcat results compared to past years
private schools used to make up most of the qualifiers but now more are coming from public schools and that feels closer to what education should be
it shows a move toward equal opportunity especially for those who need it more
this isn’t about excluding private school students it’s about making access to up more fair and balanced

these days you don’t even know who to be mad at
fuel prices and basic goods keep going up but wages stay the same and jobs are still lacking
flooding keeps happening because of poor flood control and daily transportation is still a struggle
then there are issues in education and healthcare it feels like nothing is getting better
it’s just frustrating because in the end people are still the ones suffering while those in power don’t seem to be held accountable
