If your kid wrestles, chances are someday they’ll find themselves in a dark corner of an arena, with their heads buried in their hands devastated from defeat. May we all remember the humanity of the competitors this weekend and choose compassion.
Over the weekend, senior Doug Byrne suffered an unexpected injury. Despite adversity, Doug showed us the true definition of Jacket Tough Mentality and finished his last career match!
“It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever tried to do on a wrestling mat.”
-Doug Byrne

Something I found really cool about the @bw_mwrestling fan base. As passionate as they are about their wrestlers, when they didn't have someone out on the mat, they'd find another wrestler from another team to cheer for.
Day 2 of @NCAADIII 🤼 🏆. 3 @bw_mwrestling left and ready to compete. shout out Doug Byrne last night-absolute heart and grit. Battled through the pain for himself, for his family and for his brotherhood. He is a champion & will be a lesson I teach my kids! #BWGrit#D3Wrestle
To all HS wrestlers starting their seasons do me a favor. Don’t get in the habit of going to practice every week just to make weight for the next opportunity. Focus every day on getting better and becoming the best version of yourself!
