Meeting @TheBowesMuseum this morning to arrange an #archaeology workshop. Don't think I'll ever get used to how deliciously bonkers it is to have a French chateau in #Teesdale...❤️
Excited to be starting on a new adventure today with Rocket Heritage and Archaeology and working with my good friend Craig Huddart again :) If you're after advice on any aspect of #archaeology or #heritage drop us a line!! https://t.co/y2ZXwOfhXG

We've relocated into the castle for talks by Graham Young on the early defences and Charlotte Roberts on the @BamburghBones themselves. Not a bad location for it!
On an epic train journey to beautiful #Bath for @InstituteArch conference. Tomorrow I'll be giving a round-up of the #EVALS1 project that has looked at what various sectors think of current intrusive archaeological evaluation practices.
Time for some delightful #deco in the form of #SeatonCarew bus station, built by Thomas Mowbray Stonehouse, 1938. Couldn't get a full view with the shelters because it seems to be a favourite stopping point for rubbish trucks!

Random question. Looking at lovely reconstruction drawing of a monument showing a fly past view. Struck me that no one in the past experienced that view. Are reconstructions technical drawings or do (should?) we/you factor in the 'reality' of past experiences? #archaeology#art
On a bit of a whim I treated myself to some new kit...thanks to the box label it took a little explaining to the village postman 🤣 #osteology#archaeology#skull#oops
