Constanza, in the Dominican Republic, has to be the most interesting place in the DR. The "coldest town in the Caribbean," it sits 4,000 feet above sea level, but it's surrounded by peaks that top out at over 10,000 ft.

The surrounding pine forest and occasional frost make the idea that you're in the middle of the Caribbean hard to buy.

If that wasn't enough, the town also has a substantial Japanese population who moved there in the 1950s to grow strawberries.
