‘Since 2023, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have carried out one of the most widespread and coordinated assaults in Sudan’s recent history, committing sexual violence and other war crimes against women and communities.’ And who backs the RSF? Take a bow, United Arab Emirates.
It's worth noting that the latest group of Colombian mercenaries to end Sudan in support of the RSF came in early month, a full month after the UN sanctioned 3 Colombians for recruiting fighters for Sudan. So much for deterrence. https://t.co/JDDPPzuBEu
What’s happening in El Fasher, Sudan, is pure horror. It’s not war—it’s terror. Innocent people are being killed, hospitals are being attacked, and children are being starved. The world must not look away. We must demand a ceasefire, access to aid, and justice, now.
#Sudan: The UN Human Rights Office is receiving multiple, alarming reports that the Rapid Support Forces are carrying out atrocities, including summary executions, after seizing control of large parts of the besieged city of El Fasher, North Darfur & of Bara city in North Kordofan state in recent days.
We need urgent, concrete action to protect civilians seeking safe passage from El Fasher and Bara in Sudan. States with influence must act to prevent atrocities by RSF and allied fighters; accountability is key.

How can we possibly imagine that any member of the “#Quad”—nominally negotiating peace in #Sudan—should be taken seriously if the #UAE is allowed to forestall discussions of El #Fasher and the fate of 250,000 for whom it was recently home? This is an obscene negotiating failure.
Any country still selling arms to UAE should understand what they enabling.
New report finds that UK-built military supplies, sold to UAE, have turned up in Sudan.
Being used by RSF, who are carrying out genocidal massacres in real time in El Fasher.

#Sudan | After two years of enduring hunger and daily bombardment, the remaining civilians from #ElFasher managed to reach the town of Tawila exhausted, terrified, and traumatized by the atrocities they witnessed at the hands of the Janjaweed in recent hours.
Reports indicate that the #RSF Militia carried out a horrific massacre in El Fasher, killing more than 2,000 civilians because of their ethnic background.
https://t.co/p1FPs03ja4 and .org has begun to collect information on the barbarians of the UAE sponsored terrorist group RSF members. This man is Abu Lolo and he pay. Sudanese will find justice. It will take time.

The appalling attack on Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, #Sudan, led to 19 injuries and 70 deaths among patients and companions. At the time of the attack, the hospital was packed with patients receiving care.
The attack comes at a time when access to health care is already severely constrained in the state due to the closure of health facilities following intense bombardments.
As the only functional hospital in El Fasher, the Saudi Teaching Maternal Hospital provides services which include gyn-obstetrics, internal medicine, surgery and pediatrics, along with a nutrition stabilization centre.
MADO Health Facility in Al Malha, North Darfur, was also attacked yesterday, resulting in a pause in providing primary health care to residents and displaced persons.
We continue to call for a cessation of all attacks on health care in Sudan, and to allow full access for the swift restoration of the facilities that have been damaged.
Above all, Sudan’s people need peace. The best medicine is peace.
Despite their assurances to the Biden Admin, it's clear the UAE is continuing to provide weapons to the murderous RSF — which the U.S. has charged with committing genocide in Sudan.
We cannot allow arms transfers to the UAE until that changes. My statement with @RepSaraJacobs:
This is a critical first step to holding the RSF and UAE accountable for the genocide in Sudan. I will continue to push for stronger actions against those who are prolonging this war as we wait for the Admin’s Jan 17 assessment of the UAE’s pledge to end its support to the RSF.
