DM servers are actually a really good way to see how the servers handle information within the game. Normal matches don’t have problems as exacerbated as DM, but it allows you to see what is possible, what can go wrong when in a match.
The current problems are clearly that one what you see and what the opponent sees are two completely different worlds. Two, since that is happening you can literally watch bullets fly past you and then you magically get teleported back because I guess on their screen they are actually shooting you?? Three, all of this included with the aim punch with armor update makes every gun fight feel just fucking weird. Skipping around, if you’re crouching and they shot you while you were standing it will literally uncrouch you. You wonder why people complain, it’s really just a consistency issue. What you see is not what you get….at all.
I think what we struggle with is the demand for viewership. Esports viewers want to watch every day and will do so all year. Other sports understand the seasons and how a NFL season can’t last all year. It’s kind of pro and con of the trade within video games right? We can play no matter the weather, no matter the circumstances, a game is happening. This hurts players but drastically increases the potential for viewership.
This is absolutely false. The whole reason community support is still lacking is because servers on subtick can not handle all of the information within a server of 20+ people. You play DM and then play premier or Faceit it feels way better because the amount of information related to server is half! Math ain’t mathing here.
