Mehdi Mohammadzadeh left on the night of his birthday and never came back.
Mehdi Mohammadzadeh was a 23 year-m old from Mashhad, was killed by Islamic Republic forces during the January protests.
According to his family, on the night of January 8, despite everyone’s worries, Mehdi decided to go out into the streets. He said:
“Even one more person matters.”
It was his birthday.
For a week, his family searched everywhere. Hospitals. Detention centers. Different offices.
No answers.
Until finally, someone directed them to Behesht Reza cemetery in Mashhad.
There, among the dead, they found Mehdi’s body listed as “unidentified.”
His ID cards and bank card were still in his pocket.
But authorities told the family there were “too many bodies” to properly identify everyone.
Mehdi had been shot with four war bullets. Two entered through his chest and exited his body.
He was preparing to get married.
His family says they were about to begin arrangements for his engagement.
Instead, they were forced to search through bodies to find him.
And even after killing him,
security forces pressured the family to label Mehdi as “Basij” and bury him in the martyrs’ section.
His family refused.

🚨 The Islamic Republic turned a charity caring for 400 disabled girls into human shields.
IRGC forces demanded to station 50 troops inside a care facility for children with intellectual disabilities in Mashhad, run by Zahra Hojjat, believing the site would be shielded from Israeli/US strikes because it houses vulnerable children.
She said no.
Zahra Hojjat, who cares for 400 children at the charity and calls herself their mother, refused to let them use the girls as cover.
For that, she was violently arrested.
Her whereabouts are unknown, and her life is at risk.
A regime that punishes a woman for protecting vulnerable children has crossed every moral line and stands as an enemy to its own people.

Peyvand Naeimi, a young Bahai citizen in Iran, faces imminent danger of execution after enduring two mock hangings, prolonged torture, and intense interrogation.
He was arrested on January 8 during nationwide anti-regime protests and is currently detained in a prison in Kerman.
On February 1, state television broadcast a forced confession by Peyvand, together with two other Bahai citizens, Shayan Shakibaei and Venus Hosseinnejad. Torturing prisoners to force confessions in front of cameras is a common tactic used by the regime.
