A wee story about John Thaw.
I like talking to taxi drivers. One cabbie told me he'd had a lot of famous people in his car, but his favourite, by far, was John Thaw. He had to pick up John at the Europa Hotel and drive him to the North coast to meet a director about a film.
One of the things I'm chuffed about with this past decade is that women no longer whisper about the menopause but talk about it openly. Talking helps all of us. It's a good thing, kids.
Last day of first two weeks holiday I've given myself in adult life. I've done little breaks of course but never completely relaxed and not thought about work. I shall be doing it again and more often because, quite frankly I fucking deserve it and so do you.
@KathyBurke I had no focus, not even limited. No tv, no books, no music, no exercise, no anybloodything, it all went down the pan. Today is different - but a good reminder to think how shite it was and what it's like today.
Divorce is okay. Breaking up is okay. Starting over is okay. Moving on is okay. Saying no is okay. Being alone is okay. What is not okay is staying somewhere where you aren’t happy, valued, or appreciated, that is not okay.
