It’s so frustrating to see influencers being handed roles just bc they have a following, when there are artists who live, eat and breathe theatre and have been doing it their whole lives - still struggling to book a role - let alone reach the milestone/dream of booking broadway.

It’s actually disappointing there seems to be no more exclusivity on Broadway like there used to be. Broadway used to have an air of superiority to it where it was a goal actual performing artists worked extremely hard and strived to accomplish getting booked for.

Now it just seems like it’s filled with influencers and celebrities booking roles on there. The performing arts is such a dog eat dog world. It can be incredibly difficult to book a role. Not to mention performing artists can go months - if not years - to even book a role.
