I’m not ashamed of believing in Jesus, what’s truly embarrassing is mocking someone’s faith without taking the time to understand it. The Bible wasn’t written to be read like a modern textbook. It carries layers of truth, spiritual, historical, symbolic, meant to speak across generations and cultures.
Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that you, a man of little faith, are right. Even then, why attack something that, when applied sincerely, makes people better? Even without religion, the teachings of Jesus bring humility, forgiveness, self-control, love, and purpose. There’s nothing He teaches that would ever make someone a worse person.
Even if you only read it as metaphor, like a fable we use to teach children truth through stories, it still holds wisdom. Maybe complicated truth bothers you because it demands reflection, not just reaction.
So no, believing in Jesus doesn’t make someone foolish. It makes them grounded in something greater than themselves.
Shame on you for trying to tear down what gives people light.
If you’re gonna force players to wear the rainbow, don’t get mad when they teach you what the rainbow actually means.
It’s not a celebration of sin, it’s a covenant with God’s people.
