There are swing counties. And then there are split counties. In Georgia’s GOP race for governor, few places tell the story better than Habersham County, where Burt Jones and Rick Jackson finished in a dead-even tie in the May primary: 2,640 votes each. 1/ #gapol
Sine Die was the final day of GA's legislative session & thus the final day the General Assembly could pass legislation & send bills to the governor’s desk. Read our Sine Die Report on the final status of our priority bills across healthcare, democracy & elections, and economy⬇️
Gov. Brian Kemp has not decided if lawmakers should reconvene a week after the 2026 session failed to fix a major election issue. #gapol

Will @GovKemp call a special session? That’s the question after lawmakers failed to address an urgent election issue during the 2026 legislative session that wrapped up last week. #gapol#gapolitics

We applaud Congressional leaders for advancing a bipartisan healthcare package to continue funding critical programs, but are disappointed EPTCs are not being reauthorized. As premiums have skyrocketed, 190,000 fewer Georgians enrolled in marketplace coverage compared to 2025⬇️
Can I have your attention, please? For just one minute. Please??
The President is going to cut tariffs on groceries, particularly related to coffee and bananas.
At first, the President said the tariffs would be paid for by foreigners. Then he said tariffs won't raise prices. But now he says he'll cut tariffs to lower prices for consumers.
But the President won't cut tariffs on Colombian and Brazilian imports because the President hates the Presidents of those countries, though over 75% of coffee comes from those countries. The politics of personality are going to keep prices high.
So, I'll benefit, because I buy whole bean coffee imported from Guatemala because I'm a coffee snob. But the average middle-class and working-class coffee drinker won't benefit because their coffee is Colombian.
I really don't want Speaker Jeffries or AOC as a Committee Chair, tying up the Trump Administration in investigations. But that's exactly what we're going to get when the President is now admitting his tariffs are causing high prices, but won't cut the tariffs from some countries because he doesn't like their leaders.
This is so stupid.
The only saving grace for the GOP right now is that the Democrats are busy focusing on Jeffrey Epstein instead of the costs of coffee, bananas, and tomatoes.

Today our Executive Director joined @HEALCollab on the Hill to advocate for a more transparent 340B drug pricing program. We are grateful to representatives in Congress who support the 340B ACCESS Act — a needed step toward more accountability & transparency in the 340B program.
Delighted to be @HCSconnect!

I’m disgusted by Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and those turning this tragedy into political fodder. A wife lost her husband. Two children lost their father. Senseless. Heartbreaking. Our country is sick. We must reject political hatred and choose compassion, civility, and peace.
