@JoeBiden Good start. We need to overhaul education to ensure critical and creative thinking though. It is not the time (quantity) spend in school it is the value (quality)
“I am a woman and I care about women, I love women, I love women that I don’t know, I love women that I do know (…) We are being made to feel like our words, our thoughts, and our feelings do not matter over something that is violent, it’s traumatic, and it has to change”
Yesterday I saw a man who gave me hope.
A man with a spine. With courage. With loyalty to the Constitution. With professionalism, intelligence, integrity, & an almost old-fashioned respect for facts & the rule of law.
A man who said, "I will not be silenced."
Thank you sir.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND, LAND OF HOPE AND DREAMS TOUR FROM THE PHILADELPHIA SHOW, SEPTEMBER 9TH. THE PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM CUT. @springsteen#Springsteen#estreetband
82 years ago, 14,000 Canadians landed on Juno Beach, many of whom would never come home.
On the anniversary of D-Day, we pause to honour those who served and sacrificed. We remember that our rights, our freedoms, and our way of life were fought for and were won by those who answered the call.
Historians may remember the performance as one of the most unflinching acts of musical and theatrical resistance mounted against Trump—or any President, for that matter—in the nation’s history https://t.co/7Mlt14MvUG
Bruce Springsteen performed "Streets of Minneapolis," a song he wrote in response to the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti during Operation Metro Surge, during a "No Kings" rally in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Organizers of the rally believe it is the largest in the state's history, estimating over 200,000 attendees.
Bruce Springsteen says "I don't worry" about losing fans over slamming Trump and "blowback is just part of it. I’m ready for all that."
“My job is very simple: I do what I want to do, I say what I want to say and then people get to say what they want to say about it. Those are the rules of my game. That’s fine with me. I don’t worry about if you’re going to lose this part of your audience. I’ve always had a feeling about the position we play culturally, and I’m still deeply committed to that idea of the band. The blowback is just part of it. I’m ready for all that.”
“The tour is going to be political and very topical about what’s going on in the country. Minneapolis and St. Paul, that was the place I wanted to begin it, and I wanted to end it in Washington.” (via Minnesota Star Tribune).
