@naomiseibt@OliLondonTV Have you ever stopped to consider that what you spout maybe ‘bullshit’? Where did you form your opinions? Art protects wealth, you have learnt well padme. There are lots of amazing artists around now, why do we get stuck with old art? Pretentious valuations to protect wealth?
I’m attending fetal monitoring training on Wednesday. Just reviewed this systematic review from 2021 that found little evidence of impact on neonatal outcomes. https://t.co/WUa0I2cwaJ
An interesting read of the evidence base behind this approach. #ctg#ctgtraining
@thosethatcan Probably better they don’t drive at 17. Still not fully aware and insurance stats show this. Encourage him to walk, cycle and public transport for a bit. My firefighter so describes pulling pieces off people out of cars, many who were young.
@chrisboettcher9 I wouldn’t call them harsh. I would also tweak it to make it clear that a few of them are very male centric. I agree in principle with many of them but I don’t need too much testosterone, thanks. I’m fine with my own hormones. You need the yin and the yang in life for balance.
@squatchtaco @morellifit Where’s the lesson. Newsflash: we all die! But he got an extra few years to enjoy this rollercoaster ride, which was what he wanted.
@SholaMos1 If she is XY, she cannot produce large sex gametes but will have higher testosterone & muscle mass per square inch. XX people rarely compete in ‘male’ sport, despite their identity. This disproportionately affects female sport. New definitions required for equity to be possible?
@JacquiDeevoy1 @BeerBelly973871 That’s the higher range of normal. I’m nearly 50 and BP 120/60mmHg. Thanks to my whole food plant based diet and exercise. Good luck
@JacquiDeevoy1 Have you tried a vegan whole food diet. Or at least reducing/cutting out eggs, dairy, meat, refined oils, alcohol and smoking? Lifestyle interventions usually work well. Watch forks over knives or https://t.co/Jpqm6IT76C
@WallBedKing I have one of these, which creates space for my bedroom to be a day office & bedroom at night. The legs have to manually be adjusted & it’s quite hard to pull bed down. Pillows don’t fall off when put up but gap between bed and wall when sleeping means they fall off end sometimes
Cardiac deaths were already the biggest killer in our country, but we have a mysterious 10% increase.
The Library briefing pack for this debate contains a startling statistic. Almost casually, it mentions that cardiovascular deaths per 100,000 population have risen by 10% since 2019, after falling steadily for decades.
I wish I had more time to debate this important topic, which is why I have applied for a three hour debate on Trends in Excess Deaths.
Thank you to @dean4watford for bringing this incredibly relevant debate to the chamber.
@Flossybook54 @obsolete__units@MadelineWa20933@ChrisGPackham@veganuary I’m not sure what you mean by ‘dreamed of’ 😂 I ate a normal western diet and moderately healthy. I’ve always been ‘healthy’ but now I feel more robust. also I don’t hide behind an animal profile pic either.
@obsolete__units @Flossybook54 @MadelineWa20933@ChrisGPackham@veganuary I agree. I have hardly even been sick since going vegan. Before this, I was always getting colds and feeling tired. Now, I feel better than I did at 40!
@gtweed@Jo_Marney@ChrisGPackham@veganuary And if you look at the raw numbers, you could work out how unsustainable meat production is. The same field of soy can feed more people than if fed to a cow that is fed to people. It’s basic maths. You clearly feel you have a right to exist, so too the other 10 billion!
@gtweed@Jo_Marney@ChrisGPackham@veganuary Maybe it’s been selective research? I’m happy to point you to publications that might give you info you haven’t yet considered. We never stop learning.
@Flossybook54 @MadelineWa20933@ChrisGPackham@veganuary Like all diets, you will meet ‘sick’ people in that group. Overall stats for heart disease, cancer and stroke risk for meat, vegetarian and vegan diets, might open your eyes a little. I agree, more thought is required to be a ‘healthy’ vegan, but it’s worth it.
@MikeSouthWestUK@ChrisGPackham@veganuary Yeah, cos it’s all about what things taste like! Me like, me have, ug ug ug!
I like the ‘taste’ of meat but realised after researching how bad it is for the planet, human health in the quantities it is now eaten and animal cruelty I stopped.
Never felt better, on all levels.
@Kev1Lfc@ChrisGPackham@veganuary I don’t know if you attended school or not, but I’m sorry to tell you that a mushroom is not an animal. It does not have a brain and if it has any nervous system, it’s not as complex as an animals, therefore it won’t ‘suffer’ in the same way that animals have to.
@M94947Photos@ChrisGPackham@veganuary I’m sad to say that a meat and dairy diet is linked to more problems with getting it up and body odour also. Regardless of the ethics, overall carbon reduction, lessen animal suffering, you could have improved virility, health and smell better!
