Le 22 août, Journée internationale de commémoration des personnes victimes de violences en raison de leur religion ou de leurs convictions, coïncide avec l’anniversaire en Iran du massacre des prisonniers politiques en 1988.

Ces victimes constituent l’un des plus grands exemples de violence exercée au nom de la religion ou des convictions.
Des milliers de prisonniers Moudjahidine du peuple restés fidèles à leurs positions et refusant de renoncer à leurs convictions, ont été envoyés à la potence en l’espace de quelques semaines.

Nous rendons hommage à toutes celles et tous ceux qui ont été exécutés, réprimés, arrêtés ou privés de leurs droits fondamentaux en raison de leurs convictions et de leurs croyances. La liberté de religion et de conviction est l’un des piliers fondamentaux des droits humains, et nul ne doit subir de pressions à cause de ses convictions.

Le Conseil national de la Résistance iranienne précise dans son plan sur la séparation de la religion et de l’État :
Toute forme de discrimination à l’encontre des adeptes des divesres religions et confessions dans la jouissance des droits individuels et sociaux sera interdite. Aucun citoyen ne bénéficiera d’un avantage ni ne subira de privation pour élire ou être élu, et dans les domaines de l’emploi, de l’éducation, de la magistrature ou de tout autre droit individuel ou social en raison de son adhésion ou de sa non-adhésion à une religion ou à une confession.

August 22, the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, coincides with the anniversary of the mass execution of political prisoners in Iran.

These victims represent one of the starkest examples of violence driven by hostility toward belief and conscience. Within weeks, thousands of steadfast PMOI/MEK prisoners who refused to renounce their convictions were sent to the gallows.

We honor the memory of all those executed, suppressed, detained, or stripped of their fundamental rights simply for what they believed. Freedom of religion and belief is a pillar of human rights; no one should ever be persecuted for their conscience.

In its Plan on Religion and State, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) stipulates:
•Equal Rights & Anti-Discrimination: Any discrimination against followers of different religions and faiths regarding individual and social rights is prohibited. No citizen shall enjoy privilege or suffer deprivation in voting, being elected, employment, education, serving as a judge, or any other personal and social rights due to their belief or non-belief in a religion or faith.

•Freedom of Choice & Worship: All mandatory religious education and any compulsion to perform or abstain from religious practices and traditions are forbidden. The right to freely educate, promote, and observe the traditions of all religions, alongside the protection and security of all religious sites, is fully guaranteed.

•Secular Judiciary & Rule of Law: Judicial authority shall not stem from religious or ideological standing. No law shall hold official validity unless enacted by the country's legitimate legislative body.

۲۲ اوت روز جهانی «گرامیداشت قربانیان اعمال خشونت بر اساس دین یا باور» مصادف است با سالگرد قتل‌عام #زندانیان_سیاسی در ایران.
این قربانیان یکی از بزرگترین مصادیق اعمال خشونت بر اساس دین یا باور هستند. هزاران زندانی مجاهد سرموضع که حاضر نبودند از عقایدشان دست بکشند در عرض چند هفته به چوبه‌های دار سپرده شدند.

یاد تمام ��سانی را گرامی می‌داریم که به‌خاطر عقیده و باورشان اعدام و سرکوب، بازداشت یا از حقوق اولیه محروم شدند.
آزادی دین و عقیده از ارکان اصلی #حقوق_بشر است و هیچ‌کس نباید به‌خاطر عقیده‌اش تحت فشار قرار گیرد.

شورای ملی مقاومت ایران در طرح دین و دولت خود تصریح می‌کند:
ـ اعمال هرگونه تبعیض در مورد پیروان ادیان و مذاهب مختلف در برخورداری از حقوق فردی و اجتماعی ممنوع است. هیچ یک از شهروندان به دلیل اعتقاد یا عدم اعتقاد به یک دین یا مذهب در امر انتخاب ‌شدن، انتخاب ‌کردن، استخدام، تحصیل، قضاوت و دیگر حقوق فردی و اجتماعی مزیت یا محرومیتی نخواهد داشت.

- هرگونه آموزش اجباری مذهبی و عقیدتی و اجبار به انجام یا ترک آداب و سنت‌های مذهبی ممنوع است. حق آموزش، تبلیغ و برگزاری آزادانه آداب و سنت‌ه��ی تمامی ادیان و مذاهب و احترام و امنیت همه اماکن متعلق به آن‌ها تضمین می‌شود.

- صلاحیت مقام‌های قضایی ناشی از موقعیت مذهبی و عقیدتی آنان نیست و قانونی که ناشی از مرجع قانون‌گذاری کشور نباشد، رسمیت و اعتبار نخواهد داشت.

We are grieved to announce that Mojgan Mahdavi, a member of the Central Council of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), has passed away after four decades of relentless struggle against religious fascism in the ranks of the PMOI and the National Liberation Army.

Mojgan Mahdavi passed away in Albania after one year of illness due to a pulmonary complication.

Mojgan was born in 1961 in Tehran. A biochemical engineer in the United States, she was in the final year of her master's degree program in Oklahoma when, in 1979, she became involved with the Association of Muslim Students Supporting the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran in the United States. In 1987, she began full-time professional activity.

This PMOI hero began working professionally at Camp Ashraf with the National Liberation Army of Iran in 1988 and, after taking part in a series of military operations, was rapidly promoted to command one of its combat units because of her qualifications.

In 1999, at Camp Habib, 35 kilometers from the Iranian border, she commanded part of the forces.

Mojgan held key roles in Camps Ashraf and Liberty during the glorious 14-year resistance following the 2003 Iraq conflict, distinguishing herself in the raids by the regime’s proxies on Ashraf on July 28 and 29, 2009, and April 8, 2011, and subsequent attacks at Camp Liberty.

On Sunday, April 8, 2012, while the belongings of the fourth group of Ashraf residents were being inspected for transfer to Liberty, Iraqi repressive forces brutally attacked 28 PMOI members who were preparing to transfer with Mojgan Mahdavi, using stones, wooden sticks, clubs, iron bars, and electric batons, and severely beat them.

The attackers smashed the windows of the Mojahedin's vehicles with stones and rifle butts and slashed the vehicles' tires with large knives. One of those injured in the attack was Mojgan Mahdavi, whose leg was broken as a result of blows by the mercenaries.

After the transfer of the Mojahedin from Iraq, she held various responsibilities in political and foreign relations offices.

Noble and self-sacrificing heroes like Mojgan are shining stars in Iran's political history against the darkness of oppression and discrimination imposed by misogynistic and anti-human mullahs.

Mojgan has now joined her loyal and martyred comrades, but her radiant name and path shine as a guiding light for the rebellious girls and women of Iran in the struggle against the bloodthirsty religious dictatorship, teaching courage and valor in the struggle for Iran's freedom.

Mojgan Mahdavi is a shining example of an Iranian woman who, by giving up all the privileges, benefits, opportunities in life, and her educational and professional achievements, places everything on the line for the freedom of her nation and its oppressed people.

It is with such role models that Iranian women and men will prevail in the struggle for freedom.
