“taste” discourse reduces design to one (subjective) trait so anyone can convince themselves they can “have” it
beauty/function come from a million compounding, interconnected, micro-decisions. good design is not subjective. a dribbble screenshot /= a beloved product
Can’t be bothered to get meaningfully involved in the taste/new aesthetics/loss of beauty discourse so thought I’d put together a reading list that you can give to your agent to summarise:

we don’t just design things anymore. we make them.

me & @PhilHedayatnia have been collecting some of the coolest things designers actually shipped: tools, experiments, side projects, weird little ideas, real products.
all in one place now ~ go find something good and send us what we missed.
@shedsgns 🎯 a good company will always have design at the top. design = vision, story, brand, e2e customer experience, basically anything and everything a user touches
too many companies see and hire designers (and often engineers too) as toolkits instead of drivers. completely backwards
