Teachers are exhausted because we're trying to uphold & teach humanity during a time of intense dehumanization.

There are many things that exhaust us physically & mentally about the job, but that's the one that's exhausting my soul and spirit...

WE have to do a better job of ensuring that our talented young men and women have legitimate chances to MAKE IT! We=Community; Make It= Become productive and successful members of society in whatever endeavor.. Breaks my heart to wake up to the same old news

Today my @uber driver (once again) was a teacher, and he said it wasn’t by choice. In his words: “my wife and I wouldn’t survive a month if I didn’t do this.” His wife is a teacher, too. A reminder that most us could not survive solely on our teaching salary (me included).

I want to thank everyone that came out to support! This is hopefully just the beginning as positive change starts with us! Let’s continue to be leaders and mentors as we shift the game forward! https://t.co/rKRl2L2YuR

@bakerhhhs @PhilipPulley @flippingwithjoy Yes, I believe many do have cellphones but sometimes they are off. They only use them in school through the WiFi. However, YouTube videos are a great ideal for those with internet. #flipclasschat
