I’m told a civilian on a bike trail near Ellison Park recognized Emma from a photo they saw and alerted authorities.
Emma was brought to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and reunited with her parents. @13WHAM

BREAKING UPDATE:
Rochester Police have identified the victim as 14-year-old Zahnia Barr of Rochester. RPD said it appears at this time she was not the intended target of the shooting and there are currently no suspects in custody. @13WHAM

Jennifer Quijano, one of the seven people charged in connection with the murder and torture of Sam Nordquist, is expected to appear in Ontario County Court this afternoon. @13WHAM
Quijano is pleading guilty to the indictment with a promised sentence of life without parole, which is the maximum sentence allowed by law.
It was stated in court that there is a federal investigation.
Dylan Ghaemi, the victim in this case, delivered a victim impact statement, about how he felt in the moments that Van Epps was attacking him, and how it’s impacted his life.

Derrick Van Epps, the man a jury convicted of attempted murder and assault, both as a hate crime, following a stabbing on a Perinton trail last summer, is expected to be sentenced this morning.

For the attempted murder as a hate crime charge, Van Epps has been given the maximum sentence of 25 years in prison. For the assault as a hate crime charge, he has been given 15 years.
