@ryanhammer09 The problem is, the players thought they were onside looking down the field. They moved back got onside and then the ball came it. Players don’t look at feet when playing. Need to remove limbs from var or everything accross so the attacker has the advantage. More goals more fun.
@DoomSpurs@zo_demalia Yeah, or finger but the attacking player would know they were onside. If they are that far from the defender, then no one would complain unless they hate offsides all together. But think it’s necessary for the game.
@DoomSpurs@zo_demalia Yeah, baseball has it right. It can be challenged, and any part of the ball hits the zone, it’s a strike. It should be the same in soccer. Any part of the player onside, it’s a goal! That would erase all frustration! Plus players on the field would clearly know they were onside.
@MikeyDiLullo Yes, baseball gets it right. If the ball touches any part of the box, it’s a strike. If soccer did this, any part of the player is onside it’s good. Soccer having it the opposite is the problem.
@cpscott16 I think offsides should be like the strike in baseball, any part of the ball hits the square, it’s a strike. Should be the same in soccer, any part of the body is onside, it’s a goal.
@savanah2j It’s go the opposite with VAR, keep the defense more honest. Any part of the body is onside then they are onside, a finger onside, the goal is good would be so much better.
@GregVorse The problem is that VAR line is not on the field. All replays show he is onside by the eye. That imaginary line that become real in VAR is only showing a toe. How is any player that is playing suppose to know if they are onside or not?
@ryanhammer09 This is a terrible comparison. Football players can actually see the line! Knows where is feet need to land. The soccer player thinks he is onside looking at other players on the field. If you want a concrete VAR line, it should be the other way, with advantage to attacker.
@vleet54@MattMcCarthy985 The VAR broke the rule. No official calls that offside. I also think the tie should go to the offensive player. Any part of the offense player is onside then they are onside instead of the opposite would be more exciting.
@eTheurgy@RyanRozbiani This is the problem with VAR. No official would have called this offsides. The people who made the rule didn’t care about an inch ahead as long as the players were together. VAR is the only thing that cares. Tie should go to the offensive player not defender. Way more fun!!
@stoolpresidente Weirdest nba finals ever. Spurs are the best team in the world for 2 or 3 qtrs and the worst team for the last qtr. Jazz are holding on better to those leads. Brunson and OG were great but only when the spurs seem to lose all confidence. Spurs lost it more than Knicks won it.
