@boodad12@sfchronicle So... Their teachers lied?
Their names are on the kids' transcripts. Call them out as liars.
But if it's the school admin,
we're on the exact same side.
Some kids are being put on a college bound track that are not smart enough to succeed.
We just differ on who is lying.
Students without a rock solid proficiency in high school math tend not to graduate college.
(We're talking Algebra & Geometry,
NOT Trigonometry or Calculus.)
I'd rather say the mean thing,
than saddle them with student loans their intelligence can't pay off.
Trade school is awesome.
Community College is just fine.
@michaelquotes1@united@FLYPIA Full Self Driving @Tesla vehicles will make regional airports obsolete.
The market isn't prepared.
Leave when you want.
No security. No boarding.
Fire up your favorite movie and chill for 2.5 hours in a comfortable seat.
@WallStreetApes Or you could not break the law.
Slow the fuck down.
Remember 7th grade science?
Do you need a refresher?
Force increases exponentially to Velocity. If you are driving at 41 in a 35, your kinetic energy increases by about 37%. That's breaking distance and force of impact.
@TimRunsHisMouth The Naval Observatory residence is reportedly a better place to raise young kids than the White House. @SLOTUS probably has an opinion on the matter.
@WallStreetApes "By simply using the cost of goods, without adjusting for their cheaper cost of production, the rate of inflation has been artificially advertised as much less than it actually is. The indexes passed down to us like gospel from the government have been complete bullshit."
@rosenlogic Agree. B is the new C.
I was looking for an early indicator for freshmen & sophomores to use when considering four-year schools vs vocational schools. Really wanted better than 50% odds of graduating college (right after high school).
@earl1061 Totally. The bigger problem is that passing with a 40% doesn't help in the long run. Classes build on what was learned. Passing the previous course with a 60% used to be a prerequisite. In reality, a MASTERY of the basics is an inductor of success when advancing
Your personal success story is yours to be proud of. Seriously. 👍
That said, please do not criticize what works for others. There are millions of people that have been EMOTIONALLY DESTROYED by repeated diet failures. This is their first win in 30 years.
Nutrition absorption (especially calcium & vitamin D, to use your specific example) is a known issue with multiple medications.
GLP-1's are not the boogeyman for osteoporosis. The sneaky ones that contribute to that are PPI's (Prilosec) and Corticosteroids (Prednisone).
Whatever works for you is great 👍.
But...
You used the words "trying" and "strict." Many people have a tough time with those words.
I feel that trying is good, but repeated failure is not emotionally healthy.
We are surrounded on all sides by shitty food. Not everyone has the strict temperament of a warrior-monk. Some people just wanna take a GLP-1 shot once a week, instead of fighting a battle every day.
@98_kouki_mama@TiffanyFong Your "balloon back up" comment is derogatory and uses the incorrect assumption that GLP-1 medications are for temporary rapid weight loss.
These are permanent, lifetime medications.
They are popular, because they actually work.
