That this project went from concept to construction in three years will forever be one of the things I’m most proud of and astounded by. Only possible because of unprecedented collaboration by @NYCMayorsOffice, @GovKathyHochul, and @CUNY. Let’s build it!

An inspired choice of an inspiring leader! Leila is hard-working, whip-smart, and strategic. The efforts to address the housing crisis and unlock units across the five boroughs are in very good hands.
Welcome to A New Era, Leila Bozorg! Leila brings 15 years of housing experience to her new role as Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning. A key architect of City of Yes, Leila helped unlock over 130,000 potential new homes to help New Yorkers afford to live in the city they love.
As the state prepares to take a bet on casinos, New York City must take a clear-eyed look at the stakes and ensure we have the strongest hand possible. https://t.co/Ng0bbjkfLX
Yesterday we made history in Long Island City w/ @CMJulieWon, proving that with hard work and partnership we can overcome past failures. With the OneLIC plan, we will build housing, invest in the community, and grow the economy.

One of my favorite announcements from this year’s State of the City address is coming to fruition. Congrats to all on this amazing effort to support our newborn NY’ers.
No child should ever be born in a shelter.
Today, we’re proudly announcing the launch of our CRIB program, investing $8.5 million to cut through bureaucracy and help 300 pregnant moms get housing vouchers and support faster so they and their babies can move into stable homes at this critical moment and before they return from the hospital.
Underused office space → Thousands of new homes
City of Yes expanded the number of buildings that can transform into housing — leading to a huge boom in office conversions and creating much needed homes in the heart of Manhattan.
Let’s break it down 🧵
🏗️ Meet Kathy Jones – a longshore(wo)man at the Red Hook Marine Terminal, part of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal. Spend a day in the life on the docks as she shows us how the blue highways, a key part of the maritime industry, keep the city moving, one ship at a time.
Back in ‘22, when City Hall set a goal of 500,000 new units over 10 years, hitting this annual production felt like…well…a true 🚀 moonshot. Not since the ‘60s had NYC built housing at that clip.
And here we are in 2025.
Much work ahead to sustain this, but so so promising.
Two things I love: creating more jobs + building MORE housing for working-class New Yorkers.
These 50,000 new homes will play a major part in addressing our housing shortage, and they're being built thanks to multiple of our administration’s initiatives:https://t.co/BeuKAHBK9M

While LIC has an extensive waterfront, much of it is disjoined or completely inaccessible.
With the OneLIC Plan, we’re fixing this to create a connected, resilient waterfront from Queensbridge Park to Gantry Plaza Park!
While there are real headwinds and political atmospherics to contend with, there’s no denying that 403,200 jobs have been added to the NYC economy over the past 3.5 years. That’s…nothing short of incredible.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
Most jobs ever.
We’ve beaten the all-time high jobs record 11 times during our administration. Don’t listen to the noise, NYC's economy is STRONG.
Great news: The @NYCCouncil Zoning & Land Use Committees just voted in favor of the Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan!
MSMX re-legalizes housing in the heart of Manhattan, delivering nearly 10,000 homes & helping create a more vibrant neighborhood.
Final step: full @NYCCouncil vote!
Flags at half staff this morning as the city mourns the senseless loss of life last night. Praying for the families and for our country—assault weapons have no purpose but to create tragedies.
For the last few decades, NYC has been rediscovering the potential of our waterways and waterfront—the very feature that led to our founding 400 years ago. Last year, @NYCMayor unveiled our Harbor of the Future vision, and it’s happening—step by step.
Happy #CityofWaterDay.
🌊Its #CityofWaterDay, a day to champion the city's climate-resilient goals!
We're working with the City to transform NYC's waterfront into a climate-resilient ‘Harbor of the Future’ that will strengthen the City's economy.
For the past 10 months, we've been working on a once-in-a-generation Vision Plan to redevelop the 122-acre Brooklyn Marine Terminal. In his new op-ed, Deputy Mayor @AdolfoCarrion shares how this plan delivers housing, maritime jobs, & a resilient Red Hook https://t.co/aanD6G0usk
