We originally wanted WoW to have a single player mode.

This guy just made it real.

The 1800 players are "real", his guildmates are "real". Playing and chatting with AI.

I think people don't realize the demand for this. Single player "MMO" games can be huge.

He's using a private server with Ollama plugin built-in., and deepseek is the LLM.

The original vision for WoW was to play online or offline (we were worried that not enough people had modems). We later dropped it because it was too much additional work, and more and more people were coming online anyhow.

But we almost did have single-player WoW...

Announcing: Targeted Spells on Frames

When this functionality was removed going into Midnight, M+ healers including myself expressed how much it impacted the way they played the game. It was such a core and fun layer of information/decision making that was taken away.

Over the past weeks, I have been exploring every possible way to restore this functionality within the current UI systems, and after a lot of testing, I finally got it fully functional and 100% accurate.

With either EllesmereUI v8.1.3 or the standalone raid frames addon v8.1.3, you will once again be able to see an icon on the party frame of anyone who is being cast on. This is the most excited I've been for any EUI feature, I can't wait for you all to try it.

Additionally with this update, the "Casts in front of Nameplates" feature has been re-enabled and is fully functional, showing any casts above all nameplates!

MoP CM Title + 1% mount went out today (proto drake) that got changed on the last week of the season, ontop of probably one of the worst patches I've seen in years.

Horrible to see how the Devs handle this version of the game.

Payo just pissed off the entire WoW community, but while some players call for bans and action, what he did wasn't actually bannable.

He just got the best staff in the entire game, the Nexus Key. But he didn't win a roll for it in a soft reserve run. Instead, he purchased it from the actual winner for 7000 gold.

This, historically, is known as a GDKP, where someone buys items for gold. Those are actually bannable in the terms of service because they promote gold buying, but because Payo isn't distributing the gold to anyone else, he's found a loophole that goes around the terms of service.

So, the people pissed off about this can't really actually do anything. Even if the gold is purchased, it's not technically his fault.

Riot is bringing back Ranked 5v5 in an EXPERIMENTAL queue. It'll consist of only 5 man teams and will ONLY run during windowed periods to ensure there are enough skilled teams for fair matchmaking.

Imperial Mandate rework:
- New recipe: Blasting Wand + Bandleglass Mirror + 650 gold = 2400 gold
- AP increased from 60 to 65
- Ability haste reduced from 20 to 15
- Mana regen increased from 125% to 150%
- New passive grants 15 ability haste to spells with immobilizing effects
- New passive - immobilizing enemy champs marks them for 4 seconds, increasing damage dealt by 6%

1.5 Years after hitting Silver 4 on Yuumi post-hospital, we are back in Challenger.

From being told I would never be able to play videogames again, to reaching the highest rank in League.
