The Chiefs have actually gotten the fewest help from the refs since Mahomes became the starting QB
Since 2018, Kansas City ranks:
1st in Total Penalty Yards
21st in Total Penalty Margin
32nd in Offensive Penalties Committed EPA
31st in Defensive Penalties Committed EPA
This video doesn't provide the full context. Andy Reid called timeout first. The judge at the back pylon noticed Reid, and gave it to him.
Spags didn't spot that, and because the near ref had not seen Reid's TO, Spags raced in, as seen here. But timeout had already been granted

2022: KC/Phi 0
2021: Rams 1, Bengals 0
2020: Tampa 0, Chiefs 3
2019: KC/SF 0
2018: NE 0, LA 2
2 obvious facts about the end of Chiefs-Vikings:
1- That wasn’t DPI & the refs did a good job here.
2- IF they called the “helmet off” penalty, it would’ve been meaningless. WITH the DPI, the ball is already at the 1. WITHOUT the DPI, the Chiefs get the ball despite the penalty.
#Eagles RT Lane Johnson has been getting an early start a few times tonight — but hasn’t been called yet.

To all the people saying the refs shouldn’t have called holding on the Eagles with 1:50 left—that’s like saying they shouldn’t have called the Chiefs D for being offsides on 4th-2. Penalties are penalties whenever they’re committed. If you see it you have to call it. Even in a SB
