@banta2@theecb@Complex And yet he didn’t do that but that’s what lazy people read into it from headlines. You can’t be honest and say he’s transphobic. If anything he humanised trans. And everyone deserves to be human.
This also goes for homophobia, transphobia, sexism, xenophobia. We all have the power to chip away at building a kinder and more accepting world. And until such a time days like today no longer happen, we all have a responsibility too.
It's not enough to just be 'Not racist', to be content you're 'One of the good ones'. Every piece of racist abuse begins with a joke amongst other white people that went unchallenged. If people think they can continue to get away with racism, they will. Cut it off at source.
You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens.
@BukayoSaka87@Sanchooo10@MarcusRashford thank you for having massive mighty balls to take a penalty in the final! You don’t need redemption from anyone. But I would love to celebrate with you when I see you do a “Psycho in 96!” https://t.co/Z3LHid6Tw3 #ItalyVsEngFinal
@IanWright0 just saw the conversation you had with Shearer and had to send love your way. No one should be treated like that. It’s ridiculous and disgusting. You’re a legendary player and man, a British icon. Thank you for sharing that conversation.
Just wanted to thank the @premierleague as well as @CPFC , @vguaita13 all the Foxes for allowing me to break my fast tonight in the middle of the game. That's what makes football wonderful 🙏🏾✊🏾

Massive shout out to @MaggieAlphonsi for a great moment w/ my 5 y/o daughter who, having been to 4 men’s intls in 2 countries in her first 2 years, is finally old enough to show interest. When I pointed out that you were a rugby player her face lit up! Rugby can be her game too!
@Chadwickauthor I can’t describe the shock & sadness I feel. She was there at the start of my love of books, and she led me to your works too. I checked her website recently for news of more books and didn’t notice anything about her health. The world has lost a jewel. I don’t know what to do.
I was very sad to learn of the passing, yesterday, of my dear friend and fellow writer, historical novelist Sharon Kay Penman. She was one of the greats of the genre and has left us the magnificent and lasting legacy of her wonderful novels.

I’m so sick of seeing Christians in America claim persecution.
You aren’t being persecuted for loving Jesus you are being held accountable for not acting like him.
