Russell taught and coached at several Milwaukee-area schools up until 2024 before moving to Florida to teach, where federal agents arrested him on child pornography charges. https://t.co/axngbO6dji
The arrest of Fr. Showers has renewed troubling questions about how the Diocese of Madison handled earlier warnings. @NatesMission called the Diocese’s response to survivor Patricia Moriarty's 2024 report “a textbook example of victim-blaming.”

Bravo to this US Catholic priest, Father Connell, who has called for mandatory reporting of abuse by clergy and repeal of the Catholic Church’s seal of confession in respect of child abuse. He says silence on child abuse is immoral. His Archbishop is now trying to silence him

We held a press conference today to show support for Father Connell, who was retaliated against by Archbishop Listecki for advocating for abuse victims. After having his faculties to hear confession removed, he’s standing firm in support for survivors and an abuse-free church.
Thank you Nate's Mission for making this film, a must see for all members of the church. The abuse crisis is a feature, not a bug of the organizational structure of the church. #starvethedsa
