Fun fact, it's currently illegal in many places around the world to be anything other than straight and has been that way for literal crnturies/milleniums. Meanwhile, it has never been illegal anywhere to be straight
@Bigfootpool@fallingrafters@RageHound Were people banging on Santa Monica's doors in May 2004 asking for a game where you play as a man looking for vengeance on Ares? No. The "no one asked for this" argument is the most brain dead argument you could ever make for anything
@G_a_l_v_a@khaliltooshort@RinoTheBouncer So Joel's death means nothing? He essentially gave up his life to give Ellie one.
But yes, Ellie does have nothing left. All I'm saying is that I am interested to see what the story does with that. It makes sense for her to die, sure, but what can the story do
@G_a_l_v_a@khaliltooshort@RinoTheBouncer So if you want to put words in my mouth, saying that I think Ellie should just be forgiven, go ahead. But that's not what i said. Ellie should definitely face consequences, even more than she already has. And if the story has her die, so be it
@G_a_l_v_a@khaliltooshort@RinoTheBouncer So in a possible Part 3, how would exploring redemption or forgiveness look in this world?
Abby is on a path of redemption with Lev, with Lev even helping Abby come out of the cycle of violence when she helped Abby spare Dina.
But what about Ellie? What happens losing Dina?
@jdpeterson@fearmeitsbre Can you guys use any honest comparison from the 25 minute look at the game instead of the same single screenshot that makes her look a little bad?
@G_a_l_v_a@khaliltooshort@RinoTheBouncer Based on the themes they've explored so far, especially with Part 2 being about the destructiveness of the cycle of violence, it would also make sense for them to address redemption/forgiveness in an unforgiving world
@G_a_l_v_a@khaliltooshort@RinoTheBouncer Possibly. She absolutely deserves it, depends on where Naughty Dog wants to take the story. If Ellie gets killer, she definitely deserves it.
@lordkriven@dabedabs@noelle_1025 Her in game model doesn't look as good as her all glammed up for the red carpet like the origjnal picture used, no. But that's not what you said, you said a meth head. Hyperbole or not, that's not an apt comparison
