And they always try to cover every single base so as not to be caught as homophobic, like “I know you have trans siblings, BUT” or “I have a gay friend who…” or “sexuality and ethnicity don’t even register to me, I have always had black friends” it’s just… exhausting
My CEO is one of those straight guys that professes he is accepting and doesn’t care about sexuality, ethnicity, etc. but in the same breath says “but I don’t understand all these new terms, and just wish people would go based off intention” 😩
Like in theory yes, but in reality this closes the conversation for me and others in LGBTQ+ community. We are excluded from the narrative simply because his straight brain can’t handle a new pronoun. He was also stereotyping gay guys as if he knew anything and it was uncomf

Just had a straight coworker come up to me and tell me about his Gf’s gay bff and then that he’s going to Thailand and will see the ladyboys and give them tips if they can “trick him enough to think they are girls”. I truly h8 str8 men 😩
