I'm not sure what percentage of success in life can be attributed to your willingness to...
(1) play long-term games
(2) look foolish in the short-term
(3) have uncomfortable conversations
...but it has to be substantial.
@firassabiad If everyone had the decency to wear a mask then we’d (almost) be fine! Most people aren’t applying this, and not only in Lebanon. Everywhere! They don’t understand that it can save lives.
Good decision making has surprisingly little to do with the moment of decision.
At that point, it's too late. Your brain makes choices rapidly and automatically based on experience.
Good decision making is determined by what you have learned before the moment of decision.

For months Lebanon has been mired in a debilitating economic crisis. But all officials have done is argue over how severe it is https://t.co/I0WzURgpqp
We’ve been crying every day. We’re still waiting to wake up from this nightmare.
Our family and friends back home have been scarred- for life.
Nothing can take back what they had to see and feel.
We didn’t deserve this.

@SaraYafi calls the #BeirutBlast a "Lebanese-made man-made disaster that could've and should've been avoided," but that it wasn't because of "the political mafia" ruling #Lebanon.
J’ai souhaité venir écouter, me rendre compte et aider à organiser l’aide internationale.
