@Reggie8jb@ShaneKReynolds He made some big saves in their final few games (Leeds especially). Not saying he’s the answer, but people need to get over the Atletico nightmare.
@DownInOldAlbion@YouBloodyReds Exactly. I don’t know why people are so quick to want him out the door IF he’s happy to play that 3rd choice role. When fit, he’s a real handful.
@robbopalmer@botzarelli It’s a (flawed) stat based on probability. “On average, how many times would we expect this shot to be a goal” (based on thousands upon thousands of historical shots).
The issue comes in the original shot analysis ‘tagging’ and the decisions regarding what’s in the ‘model’.
@Reggie8jb@Nffc_bailey Yeah around that. Do you see us dropping that on a player? I don’t.
Might be able to convince him to give us a season or 2 knowing Arsenal/Liverpool are apparently tracking. But gambling on them paying 80+..
@jtweets1865@Reggie8jb Exactly this. We need to stop thinking about an ‘Anderson replacement’, not possible.
Strengthen broadly to give more tactical flexibility across multiple players.
@Reggie8jb Think the Percy article was pretty clear on McAtee (going nowhere).
Hutchinson has shown enough.
Bakwa doesn’t do enough in his own half to thrive in the PL.
Ndoye.. There’s clearly a player in there when you see him for Switzerland. He just doesn’t seem arsed.
@UnitedStandMUFC@JPercyTelegraph Considering how Man Utd treated Forest/Marinakis when they wanted to sign Henderson and Garner, you’ll be lucky if they even answer the phone. At best you’ll be paying significantly above any other offer.
He’s going Man City or staying put.
@30ydscreameruk@Reggie8jb Probably not right now, hence they probably don’t sell him (considering there’s other signings more likely to go who will be a loss).
@danscapephoto You’ve said it yourself - “analyse the game live after it starts and adapt to it”.
Knowing probable lineups, SP routines (especially new ones) ahead of the game buys you time to be proactive, not reactive.
Gives the players one clear plan to execute (see Downes quote).
@themodernage85@Dicso82@danscapephoto Exactly! ‘If we admit we’ve done it before but it didn’t give us an advantage then they’ll let us off..’
No chance they weren’t doing it regularly through their unbeaten run. I’d even look at the FA Cup run.
@Reggie8jb Think. He seems like a well-liked leader among the group. There should always be place for someone like that in any squad. Same with Yates (for all his flaws). There’s a lot to be said for having a small group willing to run through brick walls for the cause..
@Willm4445 Spot on. You have to give VP pre-season and this group some stability. VP has earned the right to take us into next season - just keep him away from recruitment meetings!
